Coming together for the best possible reasons...that’s what Bethany has always been about.  In 1887, several families and friends of the Brockton community wanted a central place to spend time together celebrating the goodness of God.  A simple structure was put up on this beautiful property, and this little Methodist Episcopal Church was born.  Today, Bethany UMC is still about coming together.  The big ways of worship and festivals still happen, and the smaller ways of Sunday School and mid-week groups and classes are ways to meet back up again.  It is home for anyone looking for one, and by sharing from the love of God, Bethany is a home that gives meaning and support to all others.  So, no matter who you are or where you’re from, you are invited to come home to Bethany where Christ makes strangers friends, and friends, family.
